Trees produce oxygen, prevent soil erosion, provide habitats for wildlife, and are use to produce paper and wood products. An average tree produces between 500 and 1000 square metres of paper. Not much when you look at how much paper is used in the world each day. No wonder half of the world's forests have been chopped down.

We applaude and actively encourage recycling, but it's not enough. We need to cancel out the impact we are having on the planet and the only way to do that is to replace the trees we use.

Howl at the moon is introducing a new programme to replace the trees used by our clients “ TREEBUCKS^©.

Treebucks is a reward programme that pays out in planetary well being. Every printing job commissioned by us on behalf of our clients will be assigned a TREEBUCK^© value which will reflect the amount of paper used. When a client acquires 750 TREEBUCKS^©, which will be the equivalent of 750 square metres of paper, a tree will be planted in the client's name. While we would love to get our hands dirty for you, we are letting the experts plant the trees for us. An established charity, Food and Trees for Africa, will be doing the planting in places that desperately need trees. They will also issue you with a certificate and a photo of your tree.
